Before/After School Programs
The surf never stops and neither does Port Macquarie Surf School. We offer school children surfing lessons before and after school. If you work and unable to bring your children to the beach in the afternoon, we can pick them up from school! We have a modern 12 seater bus (fully equipped with seatbelts).
Lessons are for 1½ hours and held every day during the week - Monday to Friday. Each afternoon session will begin at 4pm and finish at 5:30pm.
6 weeks - $90
8 weeks - $100
10 weeks - $120

Port Macquarie Surf School is the only surf school in the area which is licensed with Surfing Australia and endorsed by the Australian Sports Commission. Port Macquarie Surf School is a recognized Active After School provider. If parents need some encouragement, our instructors have the highest coaching qualifications – Level 1 surf coaching accreditation, advanced resuscitation, first aid certificates and registered with the Department of Sport and Recreation to “work with children”. It’s just another reason why we’re the best and safest choice for teaching your child (or children) to surf.
School children lead a busy life with so many sports and activities on weekends. This should not be a reason to restrict them from learning to surf. If your child loves the beach, this is the perfect way for them to spend the afternoon.
We not only teach kids how to surf but also instill in them, invaluable surf awareness skills – something they will use for the rest of their lives. They will receive the best guidance on water safety whilst enjoying the surfing experience in a fun and safe environment.
If conditions are considered unsafe or dangerous the lesson will be cancelled or the course location may change.
We’ve been running surf schools in the Port Macquarie/Hastings and Camden Haven area longer than anyone. We know surfing, we know our beaches and we know how to give you and your family the kind of personalised, professional attention that will get them up and surfing in no time. With over 90 years of surfing experience on all our beaches and over 50 years of surf coaching and teaching people how to surf, we love to pass on our surfing knowledge and expertise to everyone.
